L’obiettivo principale del progetto di riqualificazione urbana dell’area dell’ex mattatoio di Bisceglie mira a trasformare un’area degradata e obsoleta, in un prezioso punto di riferimento per i bambini, le famiglie e le scuole. Nascerà un’architettura realizzata per la comunità, sostenuta dalla comunità e in grado di coinvolgere una comunità attorno ad essa. Per far questo gli attori principali saranno i bambini: i cittadini del futuro. L’impostazione progettuale ha voluto mantenere la memoria storica della facciata industriale dell’ex mattatoio e del portale di ingresso all’area adiacente, come testimonianza del recupero architettonico della struttura, all’interno della quale nasce il padiglione ludico-didattico per bambini. Un percorso che si estende all’intera area esterna di verde urbano attrezzato e tematizzato, elemento fondamentale per la riqualificazione dell’intero complesso. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The primary objective of the urban redevelopment project for the former slaughterhouse in Bisceglie is to transform a degraded and obsolete area into a valuable hub for children, families, and schools. The project will create a community-led structure, supported by the community, and capable of engaging the surrounding community. To achieve this, the key players will be children: the citizens of the future. The design approach sought to preserve the historical legacy of the former slaughterhouse's industrial façade and the entrance to the adjacent area, reflecting the structure's architectural restoration. Within the structure, a children's play and educational pavilion will be created. This pathway extends throughout the entire outdoor area of ​​equipped and themed urban greenery, a key element in the redevelopment of the entire complex.
